ICR - Volume 6 Issue 2
In this latest issue – Volume 6 Issue 2 – Nicolaus Reifart contributes an article entitled ‘Percutaneous Revascularisation of Coronary Chronic Total Occlusion – Outcomes and Development of Strategy 2006–2010’. The author discusses several techniques unique to CTO intervention and highlights the need for specific training so that a success rate of at least 80% can be met, in accordance with the ESC guidelines on myocardial revascularisation. Elsewhere, Andrejs Erglis et al discuss the challenges in real-life bifurcation, and raise pertinent questions such as ‘how can difficult side branch access be solved?’ and ‘is side-strut dilation beneficial?’
